Good management information is available to businesses of all size.

You don’t have to be a multinational to have effective management information.

Your Accounts are too important to be left to your accountant.

For many of our clients their only management information was the accounts. These were initially designed by their accountant/auditor to give the information the auditor needed for preparation of annual accounts and tax and not the information the owner-manager needed to manage. Pure accounting information is not enough. It provides just one element of management information. Accounting should be integrated with the operational sides of the business.

Improvement tools can work for SMEs.

The tools that we learned and used in World Class Manufacturing, TQM and Business Process Improvement can be applied equally well to SME’s. Not alone that, but because the scale is smaller, it is often easier to implement these tools in SMEs.

People want to do a good job.

Employees usually want to get good results and enjoy their work. Giving them the tools to better understand what they have to do, and to bring about improvements, is very satisfying for them and that benefits everyone.

Our background is management. Jim Cahill qualified in engineering before moving to accounting. He then spent 13 years in senior management in large multinational subsidiaries where he held responsibility for finance, IT, business development and Improvement Projects. Jim's passion, and the reason he set up the business, is helping owner managers make management easier.
